Why Join SFYD?
The San Francisco Young Democrats is one of the largest and most influential Democratic clubs in California. We have a powerful voice within the Democratic Party, California, and San Francisco and strive to make real progress on issues and leaders that elevate young people.
ENGAGE IN ADVOCACY:
There many ways we create an impact locally on a wide variety of issues including housing, immigration, criminal justice, climate change, education, and more. We give you the tools and platform to be an effective, young leader in our community.
NETWORK WITH LOCAL LEADERS:
We host a wide range of workshops and leadership training events to teach you how to get more involved in local politics. We also host events where you can connect with local elected officials, learn from policy experts, snag an internship, and even meet your future mentor!
MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
You can get involved in policy advocacy, campaign mobilizations, voter registration drives, local actions, and much more. We are already gearing up for the 2024 elections and would love for you to join us!
Get Involved
Now, more than ever, we know that to build the Democratic Party we all want to see, we must build a pipeline of young leaders. The San Francisco Young Democrats are committed to educating, training, and mobilizing young San Franciscans to become leaders in our community-- in organizations, campaigns, and elected office.
In 2021, we organized events on workforce entry post-COVID, hosted fireside chats with elected leaders, and mobilized young Democrats across the City to defeat the Governor recall. And we can’t wait for you to get involved!
